The test went smoothly I was nervous but I just kept tell myself that it couldn't be worse than my TB test.
When it was over I mentally cheered for myself that I had made it and nothing had gone wrong.
Then I woke up and saw my mom and the nurse looking at me all worried and my lower back hurt.
I had fainted (again). I hate it. This is the second time that's happen to me. It's scary. It's like being there and not being there.
You are laying/siting on the floor/chair and the nurse/doctor (in my case also my mom) is looking down at you looking worried. It feels like a dream. Like you're not awake yet. You can see the people but at first you can't hear them and your body has no feeling in it. Then you feel pain from where ever you hit the floor/chair/misc object/ the hardest. You can hear them like they're in the next room.
Then your senses really wake up suddenly, and you realize you aren't dreaming, and that this is real!
I've had a chance to rest a while now (I was really nauseous and felt horrible after I left the clinic).
I will try to remember to ask the doctor/nurse to let me lay down from now on, like my mom does, she's also 'a fainter'. My younger (taller than me) sister is not 'a fainter'. She did just fine with the blood test today and seems to think I'm making a big deal out of nothing.
This was the second time in my life that I have fainted. The first time was after I got my TB test (it's required for people who work with kids. It's a good idea anyway,
As far as fainting goes I don't know which was worse the first time or the second time. The first time had extreme pain and it was the first time I fainted (so it was scarier because I didn't know what had happened). But the second time I felt really sick afterward (which may have been because you aren't allowed to eat anything from ten PM the night before your blood test until after the blood test. (10:00 PM - 10 something AM no food, I woke up around 7:40-ish this morning).
Mood: Miserable
Note from the future: Something was off about that TB test I've had two since the first time and neither were any worse than a normal shot. (9/4/11)
